Welcome

MSA1The ‘Pelican in her Piety’ Pub has been around for at least 250 years, perhaps even as much as 500 years, we can’t be sure

It is regularly used to demonstrate to tourists the true beauty of Wales, whatever the weather.

We are also lucky that The Pelican is set in beautiful countryside neighbouring a stunning Golf Course, across the road from unique Horse Riding Stables, close to 2 rivers, the Ogmore & Ewenny, Stepping Stones, a Norman Castle and slightly further away from an unspoilt beach and Dunes at Ogmore by Sea

There is a Welsh Phrase; ‘There is a welcome in our hillside’. Very true here, whatever the weather, we look forward to seeing you.

Real Food

We have received a number of prestigious accolades and recognition for our food but nothing is better than our customers telling us how much they enjoyed the food, give us a try. We also do our utmost to cater for any special dietary requirements, you only have to ask our chefs.

Real People

The Pelicans regulars are a very friendly bunch, from all walks of life and if nothing else, love to talk. We allow controlled dogs into the bar & lounge area and it is not unusual to see one or two sleeping in front of our roaring log fire on those inclement days.

What our Customers Say:

Marvellous Pub Grub

"Huge choice and portions. Really lovely food. Reasonable as well. Busy at peak times but the staff are so pleasant. Great after a walk on the beach."
Kath D from Caerleon - July 2013

Great Pub

"Love this pub, great beer very well kept, good food, friendly helpful staff, good atmosphere. Have drank & eaten here frequently & have never been disappointed. Only bad point if you don't like dogs then you would not be happy as there always seem to many dogs in the bar although they are not allowed in the restaurant area."
Roy K from Llantrisant - July 2013
